Five Indians were among 50 people killed in in terror attack at two mosques in New Zealand on Friday. Two of the deceased hail from Telangana.

Software Professional Mohammad Farhaj Ahsan who succumbed to the injuries is a Hyderabadi. Ahsan's Brother confirmed that family members received a message from New Zealand Authorities about his death. Mohammad Farhaj Ahsan has been staying in New Zealand for the past six years.

Another Telanganite Imran Ahmed Khan who went to New Zealand in search of job begun a business. Never did he anticipate that his life will come to an end in this manner. He was one of the victims of the Christchurch massacre.

Condition of Hyderabad Resident Ahmed Iqbal Jahangir who received bullet injuries is stable post the surgery. Telanganite Mohammed Abdul Aleem had a narrow escape during the mosque attack.
